This painting was created for the touring exhibition "Perceive Me" curated by Kristine Schomaker, who was also the model for this piece.
The spots are metallic gold. I had in mind the feeling one gets when drifting in and out of mental focus, when truly relaxed at the side of a pool, sounds drifting further away, light bouncing on the water. There is of course some homage to Maxfield Parrish here.
