Every painting has a multitude of influences. This painting was in response to the attack on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the resulting fear. Virgo is one of the constellations of the zodiac. The name means "maiden" in Latin though, was originally called The Furrow with a Barley Stalk and associated with a goddess of fertility in ancient Mesopotamia.
